AS I have been following Men of God on youtube videos, I want to send a warning to you all. Please be very careful when speaking or prophesying on subjects which God has not spoken on.
Men of God can speak when inspired by the Holy Spirit accurately. But they can also speak inadvertantly which can cause people to question if the man is a true servant of God. It is these speakings which can cause people to question,if the person is a true man of God.
Recently I watch a video titled “TB Joshua shot himself in the foot”. The matter had to do with two prophesies he made,(1) the return of the Chibok girls , (2) MH 370. These events were spoken of as prophesy. They have not come to pass. In a recent Sunday service in which he was speaking ,he made references about fitness, physical and spiritual. He mention thing which are not scripturally correct. Sweet versus bitter. No where in the bible is this comparison made in the physical. In all that he was saying he did nor refer to a bible passage of scripture. The Bible say in Genesis that all God created was”very good” ch 1v29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
After the flood God gave Noah and his sons another word. Ch 9v1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. . 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. .3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. .4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. ..There is no distinguishing here whatsoever between sweet and bitter. But notice verse 4 God explained that meat must not be eaten with blood in it.
Now move foreward to Israel entering the promise land. Exodus 3v8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. These two words include all the blessings that Israel would enjoy. There is nothing anout sweet versus bitter or bitter better than sweet.
Here are words of Solomon found in Eccleasties.ch2 v24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God. NTB 25 For who can eat, or who else can hasten hereunto, more than I? NTB 26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
Ch 5v18 Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion. NTB 19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
How many of you believers have ever read the “Songs of Solomon” This is as much inspired as the New Testament. In this book as no other you will find lots of fruit mention, apricots, raisens, figs vines, powdered spices, cinnamon, pomeganate honey-comb,sweet cane, aloes, nut trees, grapes, mandrakes, spice bearing mountains.
As I move through the scriptures I come to this one in Isaiah ch1v19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. Again there is no comparison bitter and sweet are all”good” to God’ Again I am quoting you the scriptures to show that you cannot find a biblical distinction that bitter thing are better than sweet. Proverbs3v1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments 2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart 4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine 11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: 12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. 13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. 14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her 16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. 19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. 20 By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew. 21 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: 22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. 23 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. 24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. 26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. 27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. 28 Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee29 Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee. 30 Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm. 31 Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. 32 For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous. 33 The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just34 Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly. 35 The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. In ch 10 v22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
There is nothing in scripture that compare eating bitter thing to sweet things. WE all need a balance diet and some exercise, vitamins, protien carbhydrates, water. Since we all have differences in our metabolism each one need advise on what is best for him or her to keep physically fit. There is no general advise for all.
1 Tim 4v8,For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
So please Men of God, listen to when God is speaking, aand when he is silent be silent also.
